What is Artsonia and why do we use it? Artsonia is a free service provided to art teachers and students that allows kids to easily compile an online portfolio that grows with them from elementary school onwards. Artwork is posted and students can write Artist's Statements that describe and explain their artwork. This is a very important step in gaining knowledge from the creative work and activities we do in class. Students are represented by their first name and a number -- no last names, or images of the students, are ever used on the site. Parents and visitors can sign up with their email so that they are notified when a new work of art is posted to a student's page. Artsonia has revolutionized art education and Parker is proud to be one of the top posters on the site. We anticipate reaching 100K works of art posted to our school page during this school year (2022-2023.)
