Project Goals: 1. To learn about Artist Trading Cards 2. To learn about your classmates and your own creativity 3. To have fun creating with materials that you like 4. To learn how to use an art rubric to evaluate your artwork
2. CREATE: three unique and well crafted ATC's based on the three themes listed below. Use any materials and processes that you like. Remember that while these little artworks don't have to take a long time to make, you should pay attention to how you make them -- consider IDEA, DESIGN, and CRAFTSMANSHIP as you make each piece. You'll turn in your three cards for class credit, and then may share them or keep them for your own collection.
THEMES: a) ABSTRACT DESIGN: use colors, lines, shapes, and materials to make a fun design that doesn't represent an actual visual object b) ME!: Create a card that represents something about you and what you care about. c) FREE CHOICE: Anything!! 3. EVALUATE: Complete the ASSIGNMENT RUBRIC for the ATC Assignment. Think about and grade yourself on each CRITERION. Have a classmate look at your ATC's and give you feedback, too. Answer the assignment questions and turn in your three completed cards with the completed rubric. Be sure your FIRST and LAST NAME and ART GROUP LETTER is written on the back of each card. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Document Links: Class Assignment Sheet and Rubric Criteria Guide for Rubrics
